Parish of KirkgunzeonKirkgunzeon is a parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 7 miles (12 km) east of Castle Douglas and 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway.
It is located in the old county of Kirkcudbrightshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 48.4 sq. km (18.6 sq. miles). Kirkgunzeon has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Colvend & Southwick, Lochrutton, New Abbey and Urr.
