Parish of New Deer

New Deer is a parish, which lies in Aberdeenshire Council Area, some 7 miles (11 km) west of Mintlaw and 10 miles (16 km) east of Turriff in Aberdeenshire.

It is located in the old county of Aberdeenshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 108.2 sq. km (41.7 sq. miles). New Deer has 9 neighbouring parishes; namely Aberdour, Ellon, King Edward, Methlick, Monquhitter, Old Deer, Strichen, Tarves and Tyrie.
