Ardclach is a parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 9 miles (14 km) south of Nairn in Highland and 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Forres in Moray.
It is located in the old county of Nairnshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 154.7 sq. km (59.7 sq. miles). Ardclach has 7 neighbouring parishes; namely Auldearn, Cawdor, Cromdale Inverallan & Advie, Duthil & Rothiemurchus, Dyke & Moy, Edinkillie and Nairn. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
