Parish of SandstingSandsting is a coastal island parish, which lies in Shetland Council Area, some 11 miles (17 km) south of Brae and 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Lerwick in Shetland and includes 6 other small offshore islands.
It is located in the old county of Shetland, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 162.4 sq. km (62.7 sq. miles). Sandsting has Delting, Tingwall and Walls & Sandness as its neighbouring parishes.
