Parish of Kilmallie

Kilmallie is a coastal parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 10 miles (16 km) north of Fort William and 24 miles (38 km) southwest of Fort Augustus in Highland and includes 3 small offshore islands.

It is located in the old county of Invernessshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 568.5 sq. km (219.5 sq. miles). Kilmallie has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Ardgour, Arisaig & Moidart, Glenelg and Kilmonivaig. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
