Parish of Ardnamurchan Ardnamurchan is a coastal parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 13 miles (22 km) northeast of Tobermory and 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Oban in Argyll and Bute.It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 461.5 sq. km (178.2 sq. miles).
