Parish of LerwickLerwick is a coastal island parish, which lies in Shetland Council Area, some 19 miles (31 km) south of Brae in Shetland and 100 miles (162 km) northeast of Kirkwall in Orkney and includes 3 other small offshore islands.
It is located in the old county of Shetland, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 32.2 sq. km (12.4 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Lerwick. Lerwick has Dunrossness and Tingwall as its neighbouring parishes.
