Parish of Ardchattan and Muckairn

Ardchattan and Muckairn is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 13 miles (21 km) west of Bridge of Orchy and 16 miles (26 km) northeast of Oban in Argyll and Bute and includes a small offshore island.

It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 511.7 sq. km (197.5 sq. miles). Ardchattan and Muckairn has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Glenorchy & Inishail, Glenorchy & Inishail, Kilchrenan & Dalavich, Kilmore & Kilbride and Lismore & Appin.
