Parish of Crieff

Crieff is a parish, which lies in Perth and Kinross Council Area, some 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Auchterarder and 15 miles (24 km) west of Perth in Perth and Kinross.

It is located in the old county of Perthshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 48.8 sq. km (18.8 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Crieff. Crieff has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Fowlis Wester, Madderty, Monzievaird & Strowan, Muthill and Trinity Gask. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889 and again by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1894.
