Parish of Leuchars Leuchars is a coastal parish, which lies in Fife Council Area, some 4 miles (7 km) southeast of Newport-on-Tay and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of St Andrews in Fife.It is located in the old county of Fife, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 54.3 sq. km (20.9 sq. miles).
