Parish of North Knapdale North Knapdale is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 6 miles (10 km) west of Lochgilphead and 13 miles (20 km) northwest of Tarbert in Argyll and Bute and includes a small offshore island.It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 111.3 sq. km (42.9 sq. miles).
