Parish of EdayEday is an island parish, which lies in Orkney Council Area, some 16 miles (25 km) northeast of Kirkwall and 24 miles (39 km) northeast of Stromness in Orkney.
It is located in the old county of Orkney, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 27.7 sq. km (10.7 sq. miles). The boundaries of this parish were modified as a consequence of the Local Government (Scotland), 1894.
