Parish of KirknewtonKirknewton is a parish, which lies in West Lothian Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Livingston and 8 miles (13 km) east of Bathgate in West Lothian.
It is located in the old county of Midlothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 38.4 sq. km (14.8 sq. miles). Kirknewton has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Currie, Kirkliston, Mid Calder, Ratho and Uphall.
