Parish of GlassfordGlassford is a parish, which lies in South Lanarkshire Council Area, some 4 miles (7 km) southwest of Hamilton and 5 miles (8 km) southeast of East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire.
It is located in the old county of Lanarkshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 26.1 sq. km (10 sq. miles). Glassford has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Avondale, Blantyre, East Kilbride, Hamilton and Stonehouse.
