Parish of St Andrews and DeernessSt Andrews and Deerness is a coastal island parish, which lies in Orkney Council Area, some 6 miles (10 km) southeast of Kirkwall and 18 miles (29 km) east of Stromness in Orkney and includes 2 other small offshore islands.
It is located in the old county of Orkney, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 53.1 sq. km (20.5 sq. miles). St Andrews and Deerness has Holm and Kirkwall & St Ola as its neighbouring parishes.
