Parish of Tweedsmuir

Tweedsmuir is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 9 miles (14 km) north of Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway and 16 miles (26 km) southwest of Peebles in the Scottish Borders.

It is located in the old county of Peeblesshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 131.9 sq. km (50.9 sq. miles). Tweedsmuir has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Crawford, Drumelzier, Moffat and Yarrow.
