Parish of Cavers

Cavers is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Hawick and 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders.

It is located in the old county of Roxburghshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 99.3 sq. km (38.3 sq. miles). Cavers has 7 neighbouring parishes; namely Ancrum, Bedrule, Castleton, Hawick, Hobkirk, Minto and Teviothead. The boundaries of this parish were modified as a consequence of the Local Government (Scotland), 1894.
