Parish of Southend

Southend is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute and 26 miles (43 km) southwest of Brodick in North Ayrshire and includes a small offshore island.

It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 123.4 sq. km (47.6 sq. miles). Southend lies next to Campbeltown parish.
