Parish of Teviothead

Teviothead is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 9 miles (15 km) southwest of Hawick in the Scottish Borders and 12 miles (20 km) north of Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway.

It is located in the old county of Roxburghshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 127.5 sq. km (49.2 sq. miles). Teviothead has 7 neighbouring parishes; namely Castleton, Cavers, Eskdalemuir, Ewes, Hawick, Roberton and Westerkirk. The boundaries of this parish were modified as a consequence of the Local Government (Scotland), 1894.
