Born in Tain, for which he remains the Patron Saint. St. Duthus died in Ireland, but his remains were returned to Tain and buried in the original St Duthus's Chapel. His relics were transferred to St Duthus's Collegiate Church in the 14th C., which became one of the most important shrines in Scotland, but disappeared in 1560 at the time of the Reformation.
