Ian Abbot1947 - 1989
Minor poet. Born in Perth and educated at the Academy there, Abbot attended the Universities of Edinburgh and Stirling. He moved to Whitebridge (Highland) where he spent his time writing. His only book of poems Avoiding the Gods was published in 1988.
Abbot died tragically in a car crash close to his home.
