Saint Rule
(St. Rule or St. Regulus)

4th C. - ?

The missionary who brought the relics of Saint Andrew from Patras (Greece) to Scotland in 347 AD. St. Rule was instructed to deliver the relics to "the west, in the utmost part of the world" which turned out to be St. Andrews, when he is said to have been ship-wrecked at Kinrymont, and came ashore.

St. Rule is thought to have either been Bishop of Patras, or a monk from Constantinople (Turkey).
