Saint Kentigerna

Hermit. Born in Ireland, the daughter of Kelly (Cellach Cualann), King of Leinster, Kentigerna (or Caintigern) was the sister of St. Comgan and mother of St. Fillan. She came to Scotland with her family. After the death of her husband, she is said to have lived as a hermit, first in Strath Fillan, then on the island of Inchcailloch on Loch Lomond.
