Creator of the cult computer games, Lemmings and Grand Theft Auto. Born in Dundee and educated at Dundee Institute of Technology. Jones founded DMA Designs Ltd in 1988, while still a student.
The company, which designs games for international publishing giants like Sony, Nintendo and Psygnosis, is now based in Dundee's Technology Park and employs some 130 development staff there and in Boulder, Colorado (USA). His company was bought over by Gremlin Interactive in 1997 and following a spell as their creative director, Jones left to establish a new company.
