Robert Paterson

1867 - ?

Turriff farmer associated with the revolt against Lloyd George's National Health Insurance scheme. His refusal to participate gave rise to the incident of the 'Turra Coo' in 1913. A memorial was subsequently erected on his farm, Lendrum, southeast of Turriff, to commemorate the incident, which remains important in the social history of the area.
