Duchal Moor

An area of elevated moorland in Inverclyde, Duchal Moor is ringed by hills within the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park including Hyndal Hill, Dunnairbuck Hill, Laird's Seat, Knockminwood Hill, Creuch Hill, North Burnt Hill and South Burnt Hill. To the south is Queenside Muir and to the north the Loch Thom and Gryfe Reservoirs. The area is traversed by power lines and it includes a disused narrow gauge railway, known as the Grouse Railway. The area is protected as part of the Renfrewshire Heights Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Protection Area (SPA).
