Isle of Skye Toy Museum

Located in Glendale, on the Duirinish Peninsula in the far west of the island, the award-winning Isle of Skye Toy Museum is home to a fascinating collection of toys, games and dolls from Victorian times to the 1980s. A privately-owned museum, which started as a private collection, it was badly damaged by fire in 2002 but re-opened in 2004. While some of the collection was restored, a public appeal brought a range of new exhibits. Unusually interactive, many of the exhibits are available to handle and use rather than being protected behind glass.
