The Caerlaverock Cairn, Glencaple

The Caerlaverock Cairn was erected in 2000 as a Millennium monument in the village of Glencaple (Dumfries and Galloway), overlooking the Nith Estuary.

The plaque on the cairn states:

This Cairn was erected by the Caerlaverock Parish Millennium Committee. It will be a lasting reminder of the old and new millennium and hopefully will serve to remind people of the lovely unique place we live in.

Thanks to all who have donated and assisted with the project.
