Kilberry Castle

A mansion in the Knapdale district of Argyll and Bute, Kilberry Castle lies surrounded by woodland a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west of the hamlet of Kilberry. An L-plan castle was built here in 1497 by a cadet branch of the Campbells but was put to fire by an English pirate in 1513. The old castle was incorporated into the mansion which was built in 1844, also by the Campbell family, and this house was enlarged in 1871.

Adjacent are a group of sculpted stones, collected from the estate, which are accessible to the public and maintained by Historic Environment Scotland.
