Mortimer's DeepA deep channel close to the northern shore of the Firth of Forth, Mortimer's Deep lies between Braefoot Bay and Inchcolm island, 1¼ miles (2 km) south southwest of Aberdour. A pair of jetties extend offshore from the Braefoot Bay Gas Terminal and the depth allows large tankers to dock.
