Clar, Loch nanThe middle of three connected lochs that together extend to 943 ha (2330 acres) and serve as a reservoir which maintains the level of the Helmsdale River to benefit its salmon fishery, Loch nan Clar lies 7 miles (11 km) west northwest of Kinbrace in E Sutherland. The Rimsdale Forest lies to the northwest.
