Chuilinn, Loch a'

A reservoir which comprises an expansion of the River Bran in Easter Ross, Loch a' Chuilinn lies 2½ miles (4 km) west southwest of Lochluichart and 6 miles (10 km) west of Garve. The loch is retained by a barrage at its eastern end, which raised its level by 1.5m (5 feet) to ensure a constant supply of water to the Achanalt Power Station located a half-mile (1 km) downstream.
