Loch Bradan

A reservoir opened in 1973 in South Ayrshire, Loch Bradan is the source of a tributary of the Water of Girvan, that flows through Blairquhan. Extending to 210.8 ha (520 acres) and impounded by a concrete dam, it is located within the Glentrool Forest Park, 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Dalmellington. This reservoir is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water.
