Loch Voil

A loch in the Balquhidder district of Stirling Council Area, Loch Voil extends 5 miles (8 km) from east to west draining water from the much smaller Loch Doine immediately to the west and the Monachyle Burn which flows down through the Braes of Balquhidder to meet the loch at its western end. The village of Balquhidder lies at the eastern end of the loch where the River Balvag emerges en route to Loch Lubnaig through Strathyre.
