Luther Water

A river which crosses the Howe of the Mearns, S Aberdeenshire, the Luther Water rises in Drumtochty Forest to the northwest of Auchenblae. It flows 13 miles (21 km) south and southwest past Laurencekirk to join the River North Esk west of Marykirk, on the border with Angus. Its chief tributaries are the Ducat Water, Black Burn and Dowrie Burn.
