Whiteadder Water

Rising in headstreams between Rangely Kip and Clint Dods in the Lammermuir Hills of East Lothian, the Whiteadder Water flows in a southeasterly direction, passing through the Whiteadder Reservoir and then into the E Scottish Borders and passing into England a half-mile (1 km) east of Paxton before emptying into the River Tweed 2 miles (3 km) west of Berwick-upon-Tweed. While crossing the Scottish Borders, it passes the settlements of Cranshaws, Abbey St Bathans and Chirnsidebridge.
