Loch Harport

A sea loch on the west coast of the island of Skye in the Inner Hebrides, Loch Harport is an arm of Loch Bracadale. Rarely more than 900m (984 yards) in width, the loch extends from Dryoch at the western end of Glen Drynoch for 6 miles (10 km) in a northwesterly direction to open into Loch Bracadale to the east of the islands of Wiay and Oronsay. Settlements along the southern shore of the loch include Merkadale, Carbost (with the Talisker Distillery) and Portnalong.
