Bay of Firth

A partially enclosed bay on the northeast coast of the Mainland of Orkney, the Bay of Firth opens into Wide Firth between Ferry Point and the Point of Backaquoy, 4 miles (6.5 km) northwest of Kirkwall. The bay contains the islands of Damsay and Holm of Grimbister, while the settlements of Cursiter, Grimbister, Finstown, Coubister and Quatquoy lie around its shores.
