A Scottish baronial mansion in Kiltarlity Parish, Highland Council Area, Beaufort Castle lies on the right bank of the Beauly River, 13 miles (21 km) west of Inverness and commands wide views across The Aird. Built in 1882 and formerly a seat of the Frasers of Lovat, it is said to be the thirteenth building on the site. Earlier castles were destroyed by Cromwell's forces and the Duke of Cumberland.
In 1995, the 24-bedroom castle was bought by Stagecoach bus tycoon Ann Gloag (b.1942).
