BalthayockA location in eastern Perth and Kinross, Balthayock at the western end of the Carse of Gowrie, 3 miles (5 km) east of Perth. Balthayock Castle, a former stronghold of the Blairs restored in 1870, dates from the 14th Century. The derelict mansionhouse of Balthayock also dates from 1870 and has architectural details associated with the building of railways.
