Broomhill Railway Station

A station which currently represents the northern terminus of the Strathspey Railway, a heritage railway operated by the Strathspey Railway Association, Broomhill Station was originally built as part of the Inverness and Perth Junction Railway in 1863, becoming part of the Highland Railway two years later. Closed in 1965, Broomhill re-opened in 2002 when the Strathspey Railway was extended northeastwards from Boat of Garten. It was used as Glenbogle Station in the BBC television series Monarch of the Glen.

Broomhill Junction, which lay 1¼ miles (2 km) to the west southwest, was once where the original Strathspey Railway diverged, crossing the River Spey to Nethy Bridge, Aberlour and Craigellachie.
