A 17th Century thatched house where Robert Burns and his friends formed a debating club in 1780, the Bachelor's Club was also the place where Burns joined the Freemasons and he attended dancing classes. The house which is furnished with many items from this period is located in Tarbolton which lies 5 miles (8 km) east of Prestwick in South Ayrshire.
