Beasdale Railway Station

(Biasdail)

A remote railway halt in Arisaig, Beasdale Station (Gael: Biasdail) is located on the West Highland Line, at the entrance to Glen Beasdale, 7½ miles (12 km) south southeast of Mallaig (Highland). This station was opened in 1901 but, until 1965, served as a private halt for Arisaig House, a mile (1.5 km) to the west. Now operated by ScotRail, Beasdale Station is an unstaffed request stop and was used by only 366 passengers in 2016. It is preceded by Lochailort Railway Station, 4 miles (6.5 km) to the east southeast, and followed by Arisaig, 3 miles (5 km) to the west northwest. The station house is now owned privately.
