The Old Buittle Tower and Castle

The Old Buittle Tower and Castle can be found a mile (1.5 km) west of Dalbeattie in Dumfries and Galloway. It was in this castle that John Balliol, the thirteenth-century King of Scotland, held court. The Old Buittle Tower dating from the 15th Century, was built for the Gordons of Lochinvar.
