James Paterson Museum

Formerly located in Moniaive, Dumfries and Galloway, the James Paterson Museum closed in 2003. It was established in 1994 by his grand-daughter, Anne Paterson Wallace, to highlight the work of this important member of the Glasgow Boys artistic movement, who had lived in the village. The museum housed many photographs, prints and writings, as well as some original paintings and a library. On its closure, the archives were donated to the University of Glasgow Library, with other material moving to the University's Crichton Campus in Dumfries.
