River Leny

(Garbh Uisge)

The River Leny, also known as the Garbh Uisge meaning 'turbulent or rough water', emerges from the south end of Loch Lubnaig in Stirling Council Area, flowing southeastwards for 4 miles (6 km) through the narrow Pass of Leny before joining the Eas Gobhain to form the River Teith at Callander. The Falls of Leny are an attractive cascade on the river.
