Wanlock DodThe hill of Wanlock Dod rises to a height of 550m (1807 feet) on the border of South Lanarkshire and Dumfries & Galloway, a half-mile (1 km) north of Wanlockhead. The Snar Water rises on its northern slopes and the remains of old mines are found to the south.
