Ben Hope

A mountain in the Sutherland district of Highland Council Area, Ben Hope rises to a height of 927m (3041 feet) to the east of Loch Hope and southwest of Tongue. Classified as a Munro, there is an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar at its summit. There is a steep but steady approach from the south, but all other slopes are precipitous. Its name is derived from the Gaelic for "hill of the bay".
