Whalsay Heritage Centre

Located in Midden Court, a farm steading behind Symbister House on Whalsay (Shetland), the Whalsay Heritage Centre opened in 2006 following a successful restoration of the Farmers House, one of the buildings in the north range. Whalsay History Group was formed in 1984 and acquired its premises, now known as the Whalsay Heritage Centre, in 1993.

The Centre provides a base for meetings and exhibitions, including a permanent exhibition on the history of the fishing industry in Whalsay and the Lairds influence on the Island. The Centre also includes a family history room.
