Helensburgh No.2 Reservoir

One of a chain of small reservoirs which supply Helensburgh in Argyll and Bute, Helensburgh No.2 Reservoir is located on the hillside above the town, 1¼ miles (2 km) north northeast of the town centre. Retained by an earth embankment dam, the reservoir has an area of 5.3 ha (13 acres) and was built c.1875. These reservoirs are the property of Scottish Water and provide a popular recreational fishery managed by Helensburgh Angling Club.
